3/30/2024 0 Comments Tp link wdn4800 driver and utilityI have the adapter inserted into the PCI-e x4 slot of my mobo, the TP Link adapter is PCI-e x1. Looking around in the BIOS of my mobo for anything network related. Nothing for wireless but there were Intel drivers for the ETHERNET interface. * Looking in my mobo's driver disc for anything related to networking. The adapter uses a "Atheros/Qualcom" NIC. I believe my new PC is having the same problem as his old PC, in that its a software/driver issue not faulty hardware or physical installation. On his new PC, he said he just plugged it in and it worked and hes had 0 issues. On his old PC using this USB adapter, he would have to go through a process of exiting the TP Link software, disconnecting from his network and reconnecting through the Windows network tool. My friend has a USB adapter also from TP Link and he had similar issues as I'm having. Its the classic "connected to network, no internet access" situation. I managed to download and Overwatch at <100kb/s and I can launch the game and join a match, but after this I lose connection to the internet entirely after less than a minute. Everything with the PC is fine, except the connection I'm getting from this adapter is very bad. Ethernet is not an option so I got a TP Link N900 Adapter, also called TL-WDN4800. I just completed building my new PC and installing windows 10.
